Our 2.4-GHz Scanner is a small 9v battery powered device that shows a simple view of what is happening in the 2.4 band. It scans the band and displays how often a signal is present at any frequency within the band. If there is a source of continuous signal within the band, it will display that all the way to the top of the screen.
Here’s the instructions: 2.4-GHz Scanner Instructions
Technically the 2.4-GHz Scanner scans frequencies from 2.4 to 2.517 GHz which includes the RC 2.4-GHz band, commonly called the Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM) band from 2.4 to 2.5 GHz. The scanner measures whether a signal is present at each 1-MHz bandwidth over this frequency range, displaying 118 channels or frequency bands. The scanner does not measure the received signal strength or RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) but instead indicates the presence of signal with the amplitude displayed being a “frequency of occurrence” of signal. The taller the line on the display the more frequent that signal is present.
